Hi Pure Peeps!!
My Name is Larisa Gerrard!
Currently living on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney. I am a mother of 4 Beautiful children and am Married to my ever so talented hubby Mark.
Mark is/was a Professional Rugby player now coaching as well. He played for the NSW Waratahs, ACT Brumbies, Melbourne Rebels, Australian Wallabies and 2 Top league teams in Japan.
Together we started our family from a young age.
Whilst he was playing rugby all over the world, I kept having our babies which put my 20's and early 30's on hold. In between baby's number 2 and 3 I managed to do my Cert 4 in Mat Pilates in Canberra where we were living at the time for Mark at The ACT Brumbies. This gave me a new lease on life and it's when I decided I will eventually open up my own studio.
It was my dream, my passion...especailly being an ex dancer and very sporty. Health and Fitness are my life!
Fast Forward 2 more children, Living in Japan, Melbourne and Sydney, Moving, building and renovating houses, plus 9 years my dream has finally come true! Boy what a long wait it has been to be able to finally do something for myself and what I love.
It's all been worth the wait and I wouldn't change it for the world. The sacrifices us Mums make to raise our children and keep the family tight knit and strong as one is hard work. No one can ever say it's easy!!
I found Barre Attack on Facebook and knew this was my next move! I booked myself in back in 2015 and have loved every second of teaching this new Barre method! Created and owned by the beautiful ex ballerina Renee Scott. She is a gem! I completed the course and my exam and have been back for my Level 1 as well. All my girls love it and the results they get and the feeling they have when they finish a class is the best!!
Tough but worth the sweat and pain!! hahah!!
Barre and Pilates is both for Men and Women of all ages. It can be modified and changed to suit your needs. I love having my small classes as it makes it more intimate and I really get to know my students well. Their strengths and weaknesses and their personalities! It really is so much fun and we laugh, joke, sing and dance a lot!
On the other hand sometimes you just know when another woman needs a hug....one mama to another mama or woman to woman.....its so nice to be able to let out your stresses and thoughts whilst working out and releasing any built up angst, stress and anxiety. If I didn't workout I would be a cot case!!
I hope I get to meet you all one day along my journey! It's been great so far and can't wait to keep building on it!! It ain't easy.... but what is?? Life is supposed to be a challenge and I'm ALWAYS UP FOR IT!!

I train hard to look after myself physically and mentally. Without Barre and Pilates in my life I would be a mess i'm sure!!
